He recently bought an electric supercar , Model F X 1 . from Future X a company based in Germany . When Lewis asked Future * what the problem had been with the original battery , Future X refused to explain for the reason that the onstruction of the battery was a trade secret Lewis was worried that the problem with the battery would come back again and wanted to reject the car , get back the price paid , and buy another electric car from another brand instead . Lewis approached your firm for advice . Your superior asked you to conduct research and write a legal memorandum specifically on the issue of whether Lewis could reject the car and the legal basis for your views ( Note : you are not required to discuss any potential issue of misrepresentation or whether Lewis could claim damages instead . )
