Hi I am struggling with this past paper question on contract law. I am sufficiently equipped to advise the party of Giganticon plc but I'm not sure what to advise Georgia as her defence that she is not bound to the contract due to being 16 is refutable

Question:

Georgia is 16. She has just started her own plumbing business. Georgia enters into a contract over the telephone with Giganticon Ltd., a company with a huge office outside Stirling, employing 1500 people to install and maintain a new shower suite as part of Giganticon's 'Cycle to Work' initiative.

When she asks how many shower units are needed, she is told '1 per 50 staff'. As she was scrolling through Instagram at the time of the call, Georgia thought they said 15 shower units. Accordingly, she quotes a fee of 4000 which Giganticon accepts. They send a written contract a few days later, which indicates that there are to be 30 shower units. Georgia failed to read the contract. She simply signed a copy and sent it back.

On arriving at the office block, she discovered the true position. In her view, this made the contract price unreasonable. She did not want to go through with the contract and said so; telling the Office Manager at Giganticon that, as she was only 16, she was not bound by the contract anyway. The hospital administrator told Georgia that she had signed the contract which clearly stated how many shower units were to be replaced and installed.

With reference to legal authority, advise Georgia and Giganticon plc

Any help would be greatly appreciated
