  2. Develop some low-cost or no-cost ideas for motivating employees.

1. There are very cost-effective to no-cost methodsin which managers/supervisors can motivate and reward employees. Some ideas include:

No-Cost Ideas

  • Thank or congratulate the employee in person or in writing;
  • Celebrate the successes of the work unit with a potluck lunch.

Low-Cost Ideas

  • Create bulletin board space to applaud employees publicly;
  • Develop a departmental awards program.

1. Read the ideas above for motivation and consider what other ways can we motivate our employees? Develop atleastthree additional ideasin the "No Cost" and "Low-Cost " categories. (6 points)
