for solutions of two of the five monodisperse samples of polystyrene at various concentrations
in cyclohexane at 34C. Under these conditions, the mean flow time to for cyclohexane is
151.8 s. Determine the intrinsic viscosities samples B and E.
The intrinsic viscosities of other three polystyrene samples were evaluated under the same
conditions and given in the following table together with the weight-average molar mass
values determined by light scattering. Using these data together with the calculated values of
for samples B and E, evaluate the constants of the Mark-Houwick equation for polystyrene
at 34C.
