Hosts A and B are communicating over a TCP connection. Host A sent 126 bytes of data, and Host B did not send any data. Host A uses port 302, and host B uses port 80. Up to now, all data sent by each side have been received, acknowledged, and consumed by the respective applications. The client and the server each have a RcvBuffer of 2048 bytes, and neither sides application reads any of the bytes received during the TCP activities indicated below. Suppose Host A then sends two data segments to Host B back-to-back. The first and second segments contain 80 and 40 bytes of data, respectively. Host B sends an acknowledgment whenever it receives a segment from Host A.
