Undoubtedly, responding to crime through the criminal justice system (CJS) is expensive. Costs associated with police, courts, and corrections are in the billions each year. Recently, it has been argued that some (if not all) system components should be defunded. Using at least two examples, how can i argue for or against de-funding the CJS. In this answer, I can consider one, some, or all components of the CJS.
