The business that I dream of opening is a cannabis dispensary here in the state of Michigan. In Michigan there are a lot of dispensaries. The dispensaries that are in the same towns sell at similar prices. Cannabis is a perfect competition industry. The things that I would need to start a cannabis dispensary are special licenses and permits, building or land in a specific zoning area, a greenhouse, hydroponic systems, store display cases, computers, employees, and the list goes on. I would start out small with 500 hydroponic systems per greenhouse to grow and work my way up. Each system can grow 4 plants. Each plant can yield 5 ounces of cannabis. If each plant lives and yield 5 ounces of cannabis I'm looking to have in one greenhouse 10000 ounces to sell. How I came to that is asking people I know about how many ounces do they get from a plant. I know from experience growing a garden some plants will make it and some do great and yield more than normal. I would set my expectations low and say I would yield 5000 ounces per greenhouse. It takes anywhere from 4 to 8 months for a one plant to grow. Having one than one greenhouse would start each greenhouse at different times to have a continuous supply of cannabis to sell.
