How can I respond to this student. This is what the student posted: My two favorite leadership and management theories are the human relations theory and the social learning theory. In human relation theory, it seems as though they focus and keep track of whether or not employees are satisfied or not (Bright et al, p. 71,72). In the social learning theory, researchers study and understand why employees find it important to have ethical leadership (Bright et al, p. 148). I like both of these theories because they really show what I am experiencing right now at my current job. As for the human relation theory, the CEO of the company I work for conducted a survey on people's experience working at the company. Once the survey was done, the results were average. To take action, the CEO is going to every department to have a conversation and listen to everyone's thoughts and opinions. As for social learning theory, it's important for leadership to be ethical. In my previous job, I was working at thisparticular place for over a year and my supervisor would feed me lies about the CEO and did not allow me to talk to her. Eventually, I gained the courage to dig and ask questions. I quickly learned that I was lied to and I did not look at my supervisor the same way after that and chose to leave.
Making sure your employees are happy and being an ethical leader is super important and can surely help the company or organization tremendously.
