How detrimental it is to think that despite our law enforcement efforts to punish these individuals, shootings continue to happen when our correctional system was meant to prevent other civilians from following in the same footsteps. Is it a matter of one of our three main components of criminal justice? Do all components lie at fault? Do our courts and correctional serve their purpose well?
