How do you really know you understand a topic? Try explaining it to someone. Not only will it tell you if you understand it but it will actually help gain a better understanding. You may actually find yourself asking questions that you never really thought about. Understanding the relationship between the values of the six trigonometric and the various angles of the unit circle is important.

Write a short essay explaining to a classmate how to evaluate the six trigonometric functions of any angle in standard position. Include in your essay an explanation of reference angles and how to use them, the signs of the functions in each of the four quadrants, and the trigonometric values of common angles.
