How Does passenger/cargo weight affect the gas millage of a 2019 chevy impala and malibu? To answer the research question, it is hypothesized that: Passenger/cargo weight reduces the gas mileage of a vehicle. Explain how and show data to support? The study will use 100 pounds extra weight as the standard for investigations. The independent variables in the study will be the engine type, gas prices, and miles driven. Odometers of the vehicles identified for the study will be evaluated and the readings taken before the study. The vehicle will be monitored when it has the extra 100-pound weight and when it is removed to determine the MPG. As such, mileage per gallon will be the dependent variable for the study.
