How does the below relate to this day in age ? (Keri)

Connectionism is an approach to creating computer models for representing cognitive processes (Goldstein, 2019). This is also known as parallel distributed processing (PDP). The video Ms. Jennings posted explains that maintaining connections is needed to facilitate continual learning. And that other people's experiences is part of someone else's learning.Learning is about what and where you can find knowledge such as in an organization. Information and ideas are slowly modified in response both to observation of the environment and to feedback from others (Goldstein, 2019). Connectionist weights start out with errors which are slowly modified by other people's experiences. However, what might work well for one might not work for others. When learning a new skill at work, it is important to understand how your brain processes and stores information. This model can do just that. Our minds are used to things that are familiar. So as you introduce new information, your brain is going to draw assumptions based off knowledge that is already stored. This process can begin with incorrect ideas but over time be modified in response to new information and data studied to support such statements.
