How does the below relate to this day in age ? (Ronald) There are now different rules
Question:
How does the below relate to this day in age ? (Ronald)
There are now different rules not only for individuals taking tests, there are rules for the developers of the tests, and those who administer the tests. Rules also apply to test takers who have disabilities. These rules are all nationalities, ethnic groups, race, and cultures. Test takers must now be informed of all options they have before taking tests (Miller & Lovler, 2020). These rules apply to the educational setting under the Code of Fair Test Practice. However, there are rules, principles, codes, and psychological testing for businesses, healthcare organizations, and employment organizations. Therefore, I believe testing can be conducted in a fair and unbiased manner, however, I also believe there are some bias and unfairness that still exist.
Factors that need to be consideredto ensure psychological testing is used in a legal and ethical manner are the ethical standards, the professional practice standards/guidelines, standards for constructing, administrating, and evaluating (Miller & Lovler, 2020). Other factors can include ensuring tests are reliable, valid, privacy to individuals, confidentiality, and there is a use of reasonable judgment that recognizes fairness (American Psychological Association, 2017).
