I do believe that the concerns are legitimate and that there should be clear laws that protect immigrant labor. Many of the people in the industry are outdoors for long hours and doing tasks that require full body labor. I believe that ways of protecting these people would be providing higher minimum wages for these workers and giving proper breaks and sun protection. I understand that many of these people will readily work for very little money, but it would him them and their families to provide them with better wages and protection for them. Farming is definitely made up of many immigrants since most Americans would rather work indoors in a more comfortable setting. Although, increasing wages may help increase more American workers to work on farms. Additionally, housing should be a bigger concern than it is now and farmers should have better living conditions than being cramped up in a little house like sardines. 2) How would missing work impact the production of farming products?
