Is rent an implicit or explicit cost? Explain. 2.Rent is an explicit cost because it is an expense that organizations pay so they're able to be operational. Examples of explicit cost are also the cost of utility, and cost of the workers as well. Is labor a fixed or variable cost? Explain. 3.Labor is a variable cost because it will change depending on if they're producing more goods, this would result in them needing more workers or giving the workers more hours.If they're not producing as much they wouldn't be needing as many workers.
