How to respond to: One day I would like to start my own leadership consulting company, where I work with different organizations to equip their staff to lead their teams better. Part of that company would also be working with students getting ready to go off to college or entering the workforce on how to be a leader. My vision statement would go something like this: Empowering individuals from all walks of life to live an authentic life full of dignity and passion. I think it is important to create a vision that appeals to different types of leaders because everyone is unique and leads differently. To do that, you need to first understand what your vision is and share it. The people who your vision appeals to will gravitate towards it, regardless of the leadership style they use. The main concepts I added to my development plan are centered around being able to envision the culture and habits I want myself and team members to emulate, and how I can create an environment that encourages those behaviors.
