How to study and take Notes for Law
Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I hope you are well. I am writing to ask for your advice regarding studying effectively and taking notes for Law. I am currently in the 2nd year of my degree, and I struggled significantly with taking notes and revising, and would appreciate your advice and support on how to study effectively.
I am currently studying the following modules:
- EU Law
- Equity and Trusts Law
- Foundations to International Law
- Public Law
- Land Law
What would you say should be the key things I should focus on when taking notes? I know that these should be included: - Definition of topic
- Principles + General rules
- Exceptions to General rules
- Cases supporting general rules
- Cases contradicting general rules
- Academics
Is this enough? Should I be including anything else in my notes? If so, what else should I take notes on?
Thank you in advance and take care.
