how would you reply to this classmate?

One of Linda's main concerns about Mrs. Pearson's, her mother, maybe that she may be losing her mother. Her mother is becoming forgetful and in a matter of time she may even forget her daughter. It can become very difficult as a n adult daughter to see your parents' independency "shrink" right in front of you. Secondly, now that Mrs. Pearson is becoming forgetful, Linda may need to find care for her. Rather it's her caring for her mother or hiring someone. The reason being, is because she is forgetting dangerous things, like turning off the stove.

As a human service professional, I would first inform Linda to take precautions. Her mother can no longer be left alone. In addition, Mrs. Pearson will need to meet with a doctor to track her ability to memorize. Moreover, I can give her strategies, to help keep her mother thinking keep flowing and ways to connect with her. Mrs. Pearson is in her earl stages, so enjoying life with her mom as much as possible is necessary.
