How would you respond to the following statements?
Statement 1:
I believe that making decisions is interestingly linked to vulnerability. We as a whole convey individual weaknesses that influence the focal point we view the world through. Vulnerabilities are difficult to confront, so when faced with a decision that requires us to be vulnerable, our natural reaction is to select the option that makes us feel most at ease. Decisions for the military frequently have to be made in a short amount of time with limited information. Instead of just going with the flow, it's better to think about your options. We are not leaned to track down all the data to pursue a levelheaded choice because of mental and worldly constraints. Unfortunately, We are forced to act fast because the military needs results without us thinking at times. This is a problem that needs to be addressed but hasn't been as of yet.
With regards to companies, a considerable lot of them base their choices on their main goal and the climate in which they are capable of accomplishing their objectives. My Navy time has taught me that there is dependably a need to keep moving, and subsequently, it is entirely expected for choices to be made that are not perfect. When a person occasionally performs actions without giving them much thought, especially when they are engaged in day-to-day activities, they are said to engage in automatic thinking. This way of thinking is especially prevalent when people are required to perform routine tasks. This is not a good way of thinking in the long term.
Statement 2:
it seems that I am struggling to keep up with everything the past few weeks. I think that the movie brought up a lot of good points concerning vulnerability when it comes to our decision making. I thought that it was really interesting the way that she described the numbing of everything when there is an uncertainty in our life. I do think that there is a tendency, especially in corporations and large organizations where decisions do not necessarily have ability to be traced to a person, to make decisions without looking at the possible effects on employees, their families, or customers.
My organization is a little harsh when you look at the decision making and analyze the reasoning behind their decision making. Most decisions that are made are made to benefit the company without much consideration of the employee's situations, work hours are frequently shifted and work positions altered with very little notice. It can be very intimidating and stressful, but the pay is great for our community and the comradery among the workers is stronger than I have ever seen, other than the military service.
