How would you respond to the statement below?

For this week's topic I chose to discuss the three components of strategic management. The three components from our readings are analysis, formulation, and implementation. Our starting point for strategic management is with strategic analysis. This is where it's important to put together the companies goals, objectives, and missions as a foundation before moving on to the next phase being formulation. Strategic formulation is taking everything from your analysis and deciding the direction the company needs to move in as a whole. This will help determine the needs of a company's reason for expansion, prioritize the importance in a department, all while taking into consideration the companies overall goals, objectives, and missions originally set. The final step is strategic implementation. This final step is taking everything prior and implementing it within the company. It's taking the analysis and formulation conclusions and applying them to the company. Before taking on this last step, you're going to want to make sure that the first two steps have been strongly considered, otherwise you may be setting up the organization up for more adjustments then you would've needed had you taken everything as far as you can into account.

As we have all read this week, there are factors to take into account before finally implementing change for an organization. We should really look at the purpose as we go through each step, weigh out pros and cons, and figure out effective ways to apply each step for a more positive outcome in the company. Especially being someone in a management position, we really should explore and dissect how this would really effect the overall outcome.
