How would you respond to this post? There needs to be a clear statement about the statistical significance and what that means related to thenull hypothesis. If our significance value is .05 or less we reject the null. Anything over .05 we fail to reject the null.

I would conduct my experiment on the impact an Autism Education Program has on the amount of bullying and/or acceptance Autistic children experience in school. My independent variable is the Autism education program. My dependent variable is how children on the spectrum are treated. The research hypothesis is that Autism education and awareness would improve the way schoolchildren treat their peers that are on the spectrum. The null hypothesis is that there would be no improvement in the way Autistic children are treated or accepted by their neurotypical peers. I would have teachers and autistic children and their families fill out surveys before the students go through the education and awareness program and then again after the educational program is done.To analyze the results, I would compare the before and after scores to each other in a paired t-test with related samples.I will determine the statistical significance of my results by following the "Decision rules for declaring statistical significance", found in Appendix A, page 189 in SPSS Basics by Zealure Holcomb. The rules state that "if the probability displayed in SPSS Statistics is equal to or less than .05, I can reject the null hypothesis and declare the difference statistically significant".
