Howard Schultz, Chairman and Chief Global Strategist of Starbucks, is one of many great leaders in business. Born in 1952, he became the first person in his family to graduate from college in 1975 with a degree in communications from North Michigan University. In 1981, he was working for Hammarplast selling Swedish drip coffeemakers when he noticed that many of them were being bought by a small Seattle coffee bean store called Starbucks. After travelling to Seattle and meeting the owners, Schultz began working for Starbucks in 1982 as director of marketing and operations
