HTML Web Page

The HTML document must be created in NOTEPAD (or MAC equivalent) using HTML Tags. The page should have a theme (see list below) If it is about your dog Spot, your pictures, links, and other requirements should be about Spot. If NASCAR, music, computers, or belly dancing is your thing, the requirements should all focus on your theme. Click on the underlined text below to go to W3Schools Website ( www.w3schools.com ) for assistance on that task. It is worth 25 points and should include the following for maximum points:

1. Create a folder on your desktop called yourlastname_webpage i.e. tomkins_webpage - Save all images and html pages in this folder

2. Open notepad and begin creating!

3. A title on title bar (a title may not be what you think . . . check out the link to be sure)

4. The name of your theme on the top of the page using a Heading (h1- h6) tag

5. Your name, using another size heading tag

18. Upload the zip folder and submit in D2L Tips on using Notepad:

1. Click . . . File, Save As and name the file index.html (that changes the notepad.txt file into a webpage)

2. Save it as an ALL FILES document

3. Choose where to save it cloud drive, jump or hard drive. For now, I recommend you save it to your desktop so you can easily find it.

4. Go to your desktop and look for the index.html file- open it in in notepad and lets continue

5. To make changes to your html Notepad file (add or changing commands), always work in Notepad.

6. Save your file frequently.

8. You can easily multitask in this project. Dont close either your browser or Notepad when you are working, just allow them to reside on your task bar.

9. If you include any pictures in your file, make sure you save them in the same location as the .html file.
