Hyundai has introduced a new design of its electric vehicle and as part of a promotional campaign, has

decided to send personalized invitations to influencers all over the world to test-drive it. They have targeted four groups: (1) lifestyle bloggers; (2) travel aficionados; (3) thought leaders; and (4) family

vloggers. The cost of sending a personalized invitation to each influencer is $0.88 per email. Based on previous experience with this type of advertising campaign, Hyundai estimates that 25% of customers contacted from groups (1) and (2) and 10% of customers contacted from groups (3) and (4) will accept the invitation for a test drive. They hope to have approximately 10,000 lifestyle bloggers, around 10,000 travel aficionados, approximately 5000 thought leaders, and around 5000 family vloggers test-drive the vehicle with the caveat that at least 2000 more invitations should be sent to groups (2) and (4) as compared to groups (1) and (3). Hyundai wishes to limit the expense of sending out personalized invitations to around $125,000 while the number invitations sent to each group should be within 7500 of the respective targets. Finally, it is twice as important to not exceed the budget than it is to have the desired number of influencers test drive the vehicle. Its also twice as important to have the desired number of influencers test drive the vehicle than it is to be under budget. They also feel that all other goals are equally important. Formulate and solve a goal programming model to determine how many influencers should be contacted by Hyundai to test drive their new electric vehicle.
