I am conducting a study to investigate if listening to classical music affects scores on a memory test. Ten college students from the freshmen class at Ball State University are randomly sampled for an experiment. The experiment has two conditions that are given on different days. In condition 1, the students listen to white noise while taking a memory test. The higher the score, the better the student performed at recalling memory prompts. In condition 2, the students were given a similar test (but with slightly different memory prompts) while listening to classical music. The following scores are obtained:
