i am designing a shell and tube heat exchanger that increases steam from 200 to 500 whilst keeping the pressure the same. To do this my tube side will have flue gas, i know the inlet temperature of the flue gas entering the superheater (600) but i do not know the oulet. this is a countercurrent system. Do i simply estimate the outlet temperature or is there a mathematical equation to calculate it?
