The problem of texting and driving is a growing epidemic in our society.  Every day, people are killed or injured in car accidents because someone was texting while driving.  This is a problem because it is preventable.  There are steps that we can take to prevent accidents caused by texting and driving.
The first step is to create awareness of the problem.  Too many people are not aware of the dangers of texting and driving.  They think that they can do it without putting themselves or others at risk.  But the reality is that texting and driving is just as dangerous as drunk when driving.  
The second step is to change the culture around texting and driving.  Right now, it is seen as something that is not a big deal.  But it is a big deal.  It is a deadly habit that needs to be changed.  We need to make it socially unacceptable to text and drive.  Just like we made it socially unacceptable to drink and drive.
The third step is to enforce the law.  There are laws against texting and driving in most states, but they are not being enforced.  Police officers need to start pulling people over for texting and driving.  And when they do, they need to give them a ticket.  If we start enforcing the law, then people will start to change their behavior.
The fourth step is to educate people about the dangers of texting and driving.  Too many people are still not aware of the risks.  We need to educate them about the dangers of taking their eye off road, while their hands off wheel, and mind off of driving.  We need to make sure that they understand that texting and driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving.
The fifth step is to make sure that people have the tools they need to avoid texting and driving.  There are a number of apps and devices that can disable a phone while a person is driving.  We need to make sure that people are aware of these tools and that they are using them.
We need to take action to prevent accidents caused by texting and driving.  We need to create awareness of the problem, change the culture around texting and driving, enforce the law, educate people about the dangers of texting and driving, and make sure that people have the tools they need to avoid texting and driving.

The Problem: Texting while driving is a growing epidemic, with over 4 million people getting into car accidents because of it every year. That's an average of over 1,000 people every single day. The problem is that this number keeps growing and there are no laws currently in place to stop it.
Satisfaction Solution: My solution is to enforce a policy that bans texting while driving. This will decrease the number of car accident caused due to distracted driver  not paying attention to  road. It will also keep drivers from being distracted by their phones while they are on the road, which leads to more dangerous situations and more accidents overall. One of my main goals is to reduce the amount of traffic-related deaths each year, and this proposal would go a long way toward doing just that!
Visualization: If we pass this law and enforce it, I think we'll see an immediate improvement in safety on our roads. We'll see fewer accidents and injuries overall as drivers become more aware of their surroundings instead of focusing solely on their phones or other distractions. Passengers who try to distract drivers by talking or texting could be fined heavily if caught doing so—this might even convince them not to the same.

• Satisfaction: The purpose of this speech is to convince you all that texting while driving should be banned because it puts everyone on the road at risk when people are distracted by their phones instead of paying attention to what's happening around them.
• I'm sure you've seen it: the driver sending a text as they're driving. While some people may be able to get away with this, statistically, it's dangerous—and it's something that people like me see every day.
  I am here to tell you that I have a plan to make our roads safer. My plan will help get the word out about texting while driving in a way that is engaging and effective. It will also help those who are already aware of the dangers of texting while driving but do not know how or where to report incidents of this behavior, as well as those who are considering calling authorities on someone else for texting while driving.
• My plan is simple: I will create flyers that can be distributed by law enforcement agencies, schools and community centers, even grocery stores. These flyers will contain contact information for local law enforcement agencies, as well as statistics about how dangerous texting while driving can be (for example, one study found that those who text while driving are 23 times more likely than non-texting drivers to crash). They will also include tips for reporting incidents of texting while driving—and if you choose not to report an incident yourself, there will be instructions on how to find someone who will report for you.
• As a society, we have become increasingly dependent on technology. The ease and convenience of texting has led many people to rely on it as a primary means of communication. However, as this reliance has grown, so too have the risks associated with texting and driving.
• To text while on  drive is already illegal around many countries, but we need to take this conversation beyond just the law enforcement level. We need to create a culture where texting while driving is seen as socially unacceptable—a practice that is widely shunned by society at large.
• In order for this change in culture to occur, we must first address the root cause: lack of awareness. Most people do not realize how dangerous it is to text while driving until they see someone they care about get hurt or killed because they were distracted behind the wheel. Once they understand this danger, people will be much more likely to stop texting while driving themselves.
• We can achieve this goal by creating public service announcements that show how dangerous texting and driving is—and how quickly it can lead to tragedy if you don't put down your phone immediately when you start driving somewhere new. These PSA's should also include stories from real people who have lost loved ones due to distracted driving accidents caused by reading messages on their phones while behind
