In the popular media, some authors have written that behavior modification is ineffective because it just teaches people (children and adults) to perform behaviors for rewards or that, because only 'good people' get rewards, it won't change behavior in 'bad people.' How would you respond to that argument? What evidence from your personal life experiences/observations would you offer?
