I am employed in the Human Resources Department at XYG Pharmaceuticals. my supervisor has received numerous complaints from both clients and staff regarding inappropriate employee attire on Fridays and would like to implement a formal dress code.

She asks that I draft a detailed memo, that will go out to all staff pertaining to the upcoming changes within the department. MY memo should be one to two paragraphs in length and include the following information:

• Importance of appropriate dress code policy
• Time of implementation- Immediately
• Attire for men-Appropriately fitted dress shirt, dress slacks (or khakis), dress shoes (no sneakers), tie (during meetings) for men, appropriately fitted
• Attire for women-Appropriately fitted dress, skirt, dress pants, appropriately fitted, shoes (no sneakers)
• No jeans, torn or baggy pants
• No jogging suits or sweat suits
• No revealing clothing
• No political slogans
• Those who violate policy will be sent home without pay
• Disciplinary actions will be enforced up to and including termination
