I am not having any challenges with proper APA formatting in Word. I set default to match the settings I need if not on my laptop. On my laptop I have the template preset for APA $7$th edition Microsoft Word. Maybe remembering all the shortcuts but I have seen or used most the shortcuts shared. Always have Spellcheck on$,$ download the $7$th edition template and check your default settings. Grammarly is a great resource, turn all papers in to be screened. I also like someone else to read my paper before submitting. I have used Word a lot over the last $20-25$ years from college to classroom teaching and now implementing nursing plans.
