I am trying to convert a column of datatype 'object' to datatype 'float'. By using the following code, I am able to strip the string values from the column and convert the column's datatype to float, HOWEVER, this code moves the numbers after the decimal from all values under the column. How can I keep the numbers after the decimal? Please share modified code.

df["Price"] = df["Price"].str.extract(pat='(\d+)', expand=False)

df["Price"] = df["Price"].astype(float)
