I am trying to download the HLA software onto my macbook pro. These are the helpful instructions my fellow classmate gave:

Download HLA, create a .bash_profile and .bashrc(make sure you restart terminal after making them), go to the folder with hw.hla in it, type hla hw or hla -v hw, should create an executable in the folder with hw.

1) download Mac version(simple)

2) for my mac I just had to open the .zip file (not decompress it)

3) should give you a usr folder with an hla folder inside that has other files inside that, THIS is where you want to test the help command to make sure the compiler is working(inside the hla folder).

code to use:

./hla -? 

don't forget the ./ , since we haven't set up the pathway yet terminal will say it doesn't understand the HLA command because it's looking in the "real" User folder as my boss told me. To specify to look in THIS folder put ./

alternatively, you can also just put the whole pathway to the folder( i.e. /usr/hla -? ) and it should work

So already, I ran into some trouble. When opening the downloads folder from finder I was able to locate the usr file HOWEVER, when trying to open said folder through the terminal, it says "No such file or directory" even though it's definitely there in that folder. (I've attached a photo for reference) I've been trying to install this software for days and I really am stuck. Please help and explain what's going wrong and how I can fix (in the most simple of terms). Thank you!
