I don't think it's possible to remove politics from redistricting, especially now where there's literally a battle between Democrats and Republicans. There's always been one but I feel in the last 8 years it has gotten worse. As many should know, every 10 years there is a new census that gets updated that details the growth in population across the United States. Based on the new information, states have to redraw their district lines ("Q&Amp;A: What Is Redistricting and Why Is It Controversial?," 2021).
