Every process has some type of bottleneck. From an operations and scheduling perspective, why is important to understand which unit is the process bottleneck? What does it mean to exploit the bottleneck (please give 2 examples). Comment as to why this has been so neglected, or misunderstood, to the point that Eliyahu Goldratt has been able to have a life-long business in teaching operations personnel the concept of bottleneck management and theory of constraint.
