I got married in Egypt. Me and my wife are Egyptian, she came to the states with me on dependent visa (h4). We never registered our mirrage in a court in the states. Now she has her own job and own visa (J1) and we are getting divorced in the Egyptian consulate in Washington DC. Do we still need to divorce in the court in USA?

I just want to make sure she won't have problem with her Visa renewal application (j1) when she go back Egypt for vacation or something.
