I also had a manger that was cold and offered little motivation or encouragement. The only team meetings she every held were to tell us what we were doing wrong. When reading about the equity theory. I thought of this manager. It would have been easier to work with her had she be fairer, she was a front store manager with no respect for the pharmacy or its employees. Working in pharmacy was motivating in itself because of the reward that you are helping people. l was engaged in the work I did, but you almost must have an emotional connection when you work that closely with people. However, having an emotional connection sometimes was tough when problems arise that we could not x or that were out of our hands
