I have a project where I need to measure the quantity of sugar( glucose) using HPLC with only a UV/VIS detector.

I am using Pre column Derivatization.

As a derivatizing agent, I am using PMP. What would be The optimal detection wavelength in this case?

Also, for a Pre column Derivatization do I still need to prepare a mobile phase or is that only used for post-column derivatization?
