I have a question about how to classify some expenses from a recent job that my company worked on. We manufacture carpeting and we had a piece break from one of our machines. Rather than wait for the part to ship and get lost like we had happened before, an associate who was in the area flew back with the part. How would this expense be classified? Also, since we paid her for 8 hours for her work to get the part and travel with it would that be a separate expense and if so, what would that expense be considered and why?
