I have an epidemiology question that I have to make a 2x2 table for and find sensitivity and specificity. I am stuck on where to start because of the wording of the question. It says In 175 patients with migraines, serum levels of Compound X were measured and the patients were followed for 10 years to see if they developed brain cancer. 16 patients had "high" levels of Compound X. Brain cancer was diagnosed in 25 patients, 7 of the 25 had "high" levels of Compound X. Using the data provided, calculate the sensitivity and specificity of a "high" level of Compound X in patient with migraines for predicting brain cancer during the follow-up period.
