In a health care facility, what would happen if they weren't audited? 3 short paragraphs 1 to 2 references cited with quotes in \"quotation marks\" APA format No plagiarism (except for citations) In a health care facility, what would happen if they weren't audited? The health care facility will be prone to risks because there are no risk assessment practices. (Kenneth A. Merchant & Wim A. Van der Stede) \"Without auditing in organizations, they will be prone to risks such as weak internal control systems, misstatement of financial statements, failure to detect frauds etc.\" Without auditing therefore, the facility will be unable to understand its goals, objectives and its governance structure. The health care facility may not comply with the necessary laws and regulations on health and safety imposed on them by the government and other regulatory bodies. Failure of the facility to audit its financial statements may result to its failure to comply with all the Internal Revenue Service rules and also the generally accepted auditing standards which are necessary for preparation of financial and income statements for any corporate entity. (Tiffani Hiudt Casey, JD, Attorney, Fisher & Phillips LLP) Further, the health facility will experience lack of credibility in its financial and income statements. This is because the role of auditing is to provide a true and fair view of the financial statements of the health care facility and therefore without auditing, the health care facility will be unable to trace its revenues and expenses which are essential for determining the profits of the facility.
