I have decided to focus this assignment on cybersecurity threats and solutions. Choosing this topic is from my background and degree focus on cybersecurity. With the growing concern of cyber threats that have already impacted some industries I think this will be a good topic to research further to potentially identify if there is documented solutions to limit the risks of cyber attacks either at the individual or industry level. One focus area that caught my attention was to take notes when reading the research articles. This way you can have a cheat sheet to link specific articles together or thoughts easier than going back through each article to see if they discuss the same aspect of a topic that can be linked together. One article that caught my attention was "Cybersecurity's Human Factor: Lessons from the Pentagon" written by Winnefeld, Kirchhoff and Upton. This article expands on the importance of minimizing human error that could be more crucial to an organization in their protection from cyber-attacks.
