I have identified active listening as an area I wish to improve. When I am hyper$-$focused on something I have a difficult time transitioning from one thing to another. Active listening isn't' just about hearing a person it's about understanding $($Birt$,2023).$ I need to practice giving myself enough time to transition from one task to another in order to fully understand client and peer needs. My mentor can help with this by sharing pointers on project meeting schedules and providing guidance on transition time needed between projects.
