I have some password hash files in which I have hints to what the passwords would be. I know I can make custom rules for John the Ripper to execute in Kali Linux. So for example, I have a password hash and the hint is 7 characters in length; 3 digits; 4 lower case. How would I go about making a rule set or solving this password? Obivously if I use --incremental=Lowernum it could take ages for the password to be cracked, but with the hint it should be way quicker... Thanks.
