I have taken the diagnostic quiz for Study Unit 7 and 8. My percentage of correct answers in the following subunits is broken down below for all study units:

Study Unit 7 Adjustments and Deductions from AGI

o 7.1 Above-the-Line Deductions 60%

o 7.2 Standard and Itemized Deductions 42%

o 7.3 Qualified Business Income Deduction (QBID) 0%

Study Unit 8 Credits and Losses

o 8.1 Tax Credits 67%

o 8.2 Losses and Limits 79%

The area for the most improvement needed within Topic 3 is in study unit 7. Specifically, sub-unit 7.3 Qualified Business Income Deduction. My approach for this week was to listen to the audio lectures for each of the study units prior to taking the diagnostic quiz. I now plan to watch the videos and follow along with the printed copy of the study unit outlines, prior to taking the adaptive quizzes for each study unit. I also find it helpful to review all the focus questions for each of the sub-units prior to taking the adaptive quizzes. I plan to take the adaptive quizzes as many times as needed until I receive a score of 80% or better.
