I have the assignment below and I need help creating the spread sheet.

Evaluation Assignment

evaluation matrix for the purchase of a new smart phone. You should evaluate 3 different phones that are similar in features. We will all use the same criteria which are:

1.Battery Life

2.Memory

3.Speed

4.Available features,apps, accessories, warranty, security, etc.

5.Value (price) for the features included

6.Size of device

First, determine a weight for each of the criteria. Your weights can be specific to you but will use a 5 point scale where 1 is of less importance to you and 5 is of the most importance. You should write up a short paragraph stating why you weighted each criteria the way you did.

Next, Complete the Matrix. This will take you some time in class to do search the web. You will do research on your 3 phones, and their names/models will be at the top of the columns. You will rank them as to how they meet the criteria using again a 1 to 5 scale where 5 is completely meets criteria and 1 is does not meet criteria. Calculate a score for each rated item for each phone by multiplying the weight by the rating. Total up the scores and a winner will emerge.

Lastly, justify the selection of the winning candidate, as we did in class. This should be written so that it is easy to see that the selected phone is the best candidate as it meets most of the criteria at a reasonable cost.

I prefer an evaluation matrix using Excel, and write up the justification in Word.
