I have to solve attached question. I was given x 7, 6,6,7,9 and y 3,7,6,9 and 5. I computed correlation coefficient as -.274 which was correct. I know critical value is .878 from table with 5 samples. I believe I am correct with 1st part that my correlation coefficient is NEGATIVE (-2.74?) and that correlation coefficient should be 8.78? I think I am correct choosing greater . not sure of what they're looking for in next two boxes?

(b) Compute the correlation coefficient. The correlation coefficient is r= - 0.274 . (Round to three decimal places as needed.) (c) Determine whether there is a linear relation between x and y. Because the correlation coefficient is | negative and the absolute value of the correlation coefficient, 878, is greater than the critical value for this data set, a negative linear relation exists between x and y. (Round to three decimal places as needed.) a positive Vi X More a negative Enter your answer in the edit fields and then click Check Answer. no
