As per my research the consolidation of idea cellular which is a unit of Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone which is a foreign company.

Both of these businesses are consolidated into one business in Indian telecommunication sector.

In previous time of consolidation each company has its own market share but after the introduction of Jio communications which is the unit of Reliance Group who was the managing director as l Mukesh Ambani the survival of those idea and Vodafone individually became difficult and to compete with that Jio both of those companies consolidated into one company.

After consolidation that combined company has become the market leader in Indian telecommunication sector.

So by the above case we can conclude that the consolidation is useful for both the companies.
