I like how we both had similar perspectives on question one. Sexuality will always be a contested term because it is not openly brought up in any conversation. Many people are uncomfortable with talking about the topic because there are different perspectives and beliefs in cultures. I think that people are afraid to disrespect someone or that if they voice how they feel they will get backlash for feeling this way. I also liked how you were able to refer back to the text in question 3. Vance is correct the cultural influence model does not fully explian how people from different cultures may react to influences and does not go over how they want to be influenced. Overall, this response was insightful and made me understand Vances text more.
