I need a new product idea based on the subtract
Choose any industry, then choose a product category, and follow the below procedures
1-List the components of the original product and identify those that are essential to the product (i.e. wheels are essential in a car, but its paint is not).
2- Subtract one essential component at a time as is (i.e. don't change it, just remove it).
3- List the remaining components and see whether one or some of them can replace the subtracted one. For example, bags used to be an essential component of vacuum cleaners and then Dyson developed a product that does not need bags, but rather uses a canister that collects whatever is vacuumed and can be emptied and washed.
4- Describe the new product and lists its benefits. This is not trivial because when we take out an essential component we have to understand whether the new product is feasible or not. When listing benefits focus on how this new product can be useful to customers, and since they haven't been asking for it, would they prefer it over the current solution.
5- Repeat with all essential components.
