i need a response to her
As I reflect on the program and my thoughts towards leadership as a vocation, I can see how this program and classes confirmed and validated my idea that leadership is a learned skill, not a trait. The resource Leadership as a vocation (n.d.) walks through the history of leadership research and agrees that it is not just a trait someone is born with. Throughout the many discussions in these classes and my undergraduate leadership classes, I have solidified my belief that leaders who can serve others and help them grow, will be more respected, and probably more successful.
I believe that my strong sense of justice and desire for genuine connection help serve as my vocational leadership because I want to help work with and for other people to live the life they deserve and should be able to have. I know I am able to connect with people because I choose to be my authentic self and can go up to numerous people and start conversations. This helps me demonstrate leadership as a vocation because it eliminates a barrier of trying to connect with people when trying to help them and serve them.
